Computing and Communication Camp

C3 1995

During two weeks we (six students from Zürich) were working on different projects at the Swiss Scientific Computing Center (SSCC). The first week we mainly learned how to use the Internet, UNIX and the different tools on our workstations. (it's very hard to work on a regular desktop computer (even on a PowerMac ;-) ) once you have used Alpha Stations or the SX-3, since they are pretty fast!)
The second week we had to apply this knowledge to complete our projects. It was very interesting, I met many cool people and we had a lot of fun.

That's us: Thomas, Rene (our instructor), me, Susi, Andreas, Jonathan and Markus

C3 1996

I liked the Computing and Communication Camp so much that I went again this year together with my friends I met in the last Camp
My current project is a simulation of the behaviour of moving bowls when they hit each other. Together with Thomas I`m writing a C program to have a real time simulation in Explorer (very powerful graphics program!).

The Camp is really interesting, we learn a lot here (even though I was here last year)

C3 1997

This time I had the opportunity to be assistant of the Computing and Communication Camp. I helped the students with the different tools and workstations and assisted them with their projects.
It was interesting and we had a great time together :-) Most of the students could finish their projects and published their results on their own home page.

C3 1998

This year it was the second time I assisted the students at the Computing and Communication Camp. I helped the students with the different tools and workstations and assisted them with their projects.
The camp was a success, all students could finish their projects and published their results on their own home page.

C3 1999

This year it was the third time I assisted the students at the Computing and Communication Camp. I helped the students with the different tools and workstations and assisted them with their projects.
The camp was a success, all students could finish their projects and published their results on their own home page.
